Valley Forge Park Picnic

Last Saturday Kyle and I planned to have a family day all to ourselves. Since Carver was born (2 months ago), every weekend has been spent visiting with family and friends. Don't get me wrong, we love hanging out with loved ones but some nice, new family unit time was a bit overdue. Before leaving for the park, Kyle made a trip to the Italian Market for Sarcone's hoagies and cannoli's from Isgro's. We packed up a blanket, my camera, Carver and Cappy enjoyed our beautiful day at the park.

Cappy had a blast running around off his leash with Kyle, he never ran too far knowing that Kyle had treats in his pocket!

While enjoying each other's company and eating our delicious hoagies, we watched a big group of children play kickball and a couple flying their handmade kite. The weather was beautiful on Saturday and there was a strong breeze coming up over the ridge by the arch, which was great for kite flying! We'll have to remember that for our next visit.

Carver was content watching the leaves on the trees blow. I'm sure the wind blowing through his full head of hair felt fabulous as well!
